The inspiration for Great Grandwizard originated with my own grandfather. What child DOESN'T look up to their grandfather as a magical being who can do wizardly things and is certainly "great"??? This wizard looks nothing like my own grandfather, just a figment of my imagination....but he looks well-seasoned in his area of expertise--magic! I've been lucky to know many older people; Great Grandwizard is an effort to represent them all and their valuable wisdom...
