The inspiration for Playing Koi came from a notion that popped into my head one day, of a tired faery resting on a log at sunset, being greeted by a friendly koi fish. Why not? Painting this occurred at one of my favorite vacation spots, Lake Tahoe....where we rent a home every summer for a week and spend our afternoons enjoying the sun, sand and sunset of the lake till evening. I take my paints with me and set-up my painting spot near the upstairs deck where I look out into a forest of trees and off into the lake.....
